This is a ridiculous story.

It's my understanding the dates listed in measure M are extremely conservative estimates based upon using only funds raised by the measure (with NO money from the feds or state), and based upon slow economic growth. Federal funding and economic growth could hasten this timetable.

More significantly, Metro has invited proposals from private industry seeking ways to accelerate funding and construction. They have already received, and are reviewing proposal from several major engineering and construction companies for building the WSAB, Sepulveda, and other lines.
