-stupid mistake of the 40's-50's: kill off electric rail transit, to wit the PE and LARy.

-stupid mistake of the 60's: build BART to broad gauge, 1000vdc, A-B cars, yada-yada as ordered by SP management thru the Bechtels.

-stupid mistake of today: PBCAHSR paralleling the Loop route and it isn't even a freight compatible replacement. It will be way underutilized and muster a terrible cost/benefit ratio. Tejon is the passenger route; that's why I-5 is there.
