Nope it's about 4/10 of a mile walk between the SMART and the ferry. You have to cross a four lane road serving the shopping center office complexes and then cross a six laner that serves as approach to the San Rafael-Richmond Bridge to get to the Ferry parking lot. Then you have to walk around the edge of the parking lot to get to the entrance. Alternate route is cross the 4-lane road and enter the parking lot of the shopping center and then wend your way through the parking lot to get to a pedestrian overpass that oconnects the shopping center to the edge of the ferry terminal.
Either way it's about a 10 minute walk.
This isn't a big deal because the SMART trains aren't synced with ferry departures/arrivals. So you will have between 15 munutes and 40 minutes to kill while waiting for the ferry to leave.
This is why a lot of San Rafael people are asking why not just shuttle people from San Rafael SMART station to the ferry entrance. You are going to have to shuttle them from Larkspur anyways. And you have plenty of time. Why not save the money?
I'm not sure if there's going to be any parking at the SMART Larkspur station. I don't think so. So there won't be any commuting north from the SMART station for all the Southern Marin taxpayers who have been funding this thing with their sales tax pennies for nearly ten years. Guess that makes sense.
