I don't deny the guys press for trains. My point is who has the money and the politics to get it done. I further agree that this won't happen if at all. San Francisco isn't going to buy it regardless of Kopp's ties to San Francisco. History has shown time and time again that somehow no one is going to allow rails and trains across the Golden Gate Bridge and that's final. Talk about history. I don't know if it is possible or practical to run rails and trains over the San Rafael/Richmond Bridge but at least you could tie into Bart that way. Bus bridges are about the most reasonable cost and easiest method from Larkspur to Richmond to BART. Personally if I had to use that SMART system it would be inconvenient and time consuming changing modes of transportation. Train to boat, train to bus. There has to be a better solution. But I guess on this site the religion is trains no matter the cost, disruption or inconvenience.
Note the display of the white flag. Common sense will not prevail.
