The total number of seats available through on-line reservations are probably sold out. If you want to stand, go to the machines, and buy a ticket.... That happens a lot this time of year. Also, try booking a seat in business class, and paying more.

It's not been unheard of for 200 or so Marines, at a time, to get on an already "sold out" Friday afternoon train, at Oceanside, and then the beer runs out real fast, too..... I saw a solid train of low level cars with a "crash slug" from the PNW as the reverse cab in push mode, on LOSSAN going through Camp Pendleton on XMAS eve> So yeah, literally everything is running......
"
It means that lots of folks are traveling for the holidays, and using these slowly improving corridor services to avoid long drives in more traffic, or many of the airport hassles, which are more prevalent at this time of year (traffic, long lines, no parking, slow security, weather, etc.).

And, my wish for the New Year would be that we commit to full DT of the LOSSAN south, and the LAUPT run through by 2020.....and phase one full CTC,and added pass capacity improvements totally completed to SLO.
