It seems there are always a few railfans in every crowd with no life at all - even their mama doesn't like them. Some have suggested we not answer them. But that doesn't really work, because how would they even notice - and what else is there to do to counter them.

Certainly , to maintain the integrity of this, or any forum, falsified reports must be refuted, or deleted. But of course, maybe we should apply that same standard to the nightly news as well, since false reporting is rampant there too. That's right mr. russell - you are hardly the first to make a false report - and won't be the last!

There might be a better way. If the these trolls could see that no one is paying any attention, they would probably go away - back to the funny farm, or back under the bridge they came from, or whatever.

This would require however, that the forum webmaster adjust the website to display the number of times each main subject has been viewed (web hits). Then it would be quite useful to not click on such a post, as these nimrods could then actually see by the relatively low numbers that we are ignoring them.

Passive Aggression only works when you already have the superior (or wanted) position and can therefore stand pat!
