I remember photographing brand new ATSF GP20's in 1960-61 from Chicago to Chilicothe,IL..Those and the CB&Q's were the first I had ever seen and the first locomotives with that new turbo-charged sound. Being a teenager I thought it was really cool but I never thought I would miss the sound of a normally aspirated EMD 567......I was just thinking recently its been along time since I've heard a Leslie S5T like the old Santa Fe used to have on a lot of their passenger F's and low and behold I photographed the NS 6943 today and it had an old N&W S5 on it....an Altoona rebuild to boot!
