This is actually a little south of the Cosumnes R. bridge. Probably about a half mile or so. If you are familiar with the area it's right near the Dillard Rd exit on Hwy 99. There is a levee there to keep the Cosumnes from overflowing south. The derailment is just north of the levee and the tracks are on an elevated embankment to keep them above the flood waters. The Cosumnes is at its highest level since 1997 and that may have indeed compromised the elevated track.
They can also run freight traffic down the old WP from Haggin in Sacramento to
Stockton. The tricky part is a backup move at Haggin both ways to move between the Sacramento Sub (WP) and the Martinez Sub (SP). It will probably be done. Or they can run up to Marysville and turn at Binney Jct.
