It is, both for speed signaling and route signaling.

The only instances of this I've ever encountered and/or seen pictures of are bracket masts with more than one set of signals and multi-track -four or more- signal bridges. And no, the signals at Webster don't have any ID other than being there with no number plates, all four of them (2 in each direction).

No, it doesn't. "Situational awareness" is psychobabble for everything from daydreaming to simply losing one's train of thought or being momentarily distracted (as by a call on the radio). In plain English, that engineer screwed up. Of course all of the pontificators on this site who make lofty coulda-shoulda pronouncements pay 200% attention 150% of the time while driving around in their automobiles.
