I remember around 2000 a big biker type was smoking cigarettes in the bathroom on the San Joaquin southbound into Madera. The conductor made an announcement over the PA reminding that smoking aboard was prohibited on the train. That was clearly intended for the meat head puffing in the john and he knew it. The first crew member he ran into, he mentioned he was gonna "gut them like a fish". Scary. He was pulled off a little later and lo and behold a 12 inch Rambo Knife was on his person. Said he was "goin fishin'".
