Actually we did. But, we were callous/smart enough to decide that self-extinguishing idiots were a gain, not a loss to anyone beyond their families. The worst aspects of trespassers are the psychic damage to the engineer, and the waste of everyone else's time cleaning up the mess. Heck, we lose 38,000 fellow citizens to stupid driving tricks, many of whom supposedly passed a skils/laws test before they were turned loose on the highways. If the Marin/Sonoma residents can't educate themselves that trains don't stop on a dime, they can at least reduce the housing crisis.
