Bryan is an old friend from SP days, and I would characterize him (and his business ventures) as being the railroad version of some the Silicon Valley dreamers and their start-ups: Opportunities that only he sees, crazy levels of risk, lots of effort, most fail, you go on to the next opportunity (that only you see, every one else thinks you are crazy). If he had listened to his friends and more practical railroaders he would have given up long ago. But he didn't and he doesn't. It can be a wild ride, but it has its own rewards, the lucky make a bit of money, the really lucky strike it rich. So far he has not struck it rich, but neither has he stopped dreaming. Which is pretty good for a guy that's as old as me, and I've been retired for 17 years. He keeps at it. Good for him.
