Too many people are educated beyond their intelligence. They have no idea where the stuff on the shelves at their local store or grocery comes from or how it gets there. They neither know nor care that the coal going by the house they never should have built/bought is where their electricity comes from or that the chemicals in those tank cars are why they have clean drinking water and a lot of medicines and products that didn't exist years ago.

They have no idea that intermodal takes trucks off the roads, because they don't know or care what's in the boxes and don't want them on the rail or on the highway. These are the same morons who demand better cell service but block new cell towers. They have fits about brownouts and blackouts but block any attempts to build more power plants or even to add more trnasmission lines.

The schools no longer teach the basic things in life (besides the 3-R's, which they don't teach, either) such as where food comes from (those nasty, smelly farms) where the stuff comes from that's in their stores or where the material comes from to build their McMansions. For all they know, it's done by little elves at night.

The Oberstars of the world use this basic ignorance to push their own union and liberal-driven agendas.

BTW, in all the (justified) complaining about "limbo time," why hasn't anyone noticed that every minute of it is paid time? They aren't sitting there on no pay.
