Automation, not taxes, is costing many people to lose their jobs

I wanted to point out to everyone that automation,
not high taxes and supposedly onerous laws, is
destroying many jobs, even jobs held by pretty
highly-paid people who thought they could never
be replaced by computer programs. So stop it already
with blaming taxes and laws here in California for
jobs going away.
"pdx" is right to remind us all that most people are living
paycheck-to-paycheck, and that almost all of us are at
risk of becoming homeless -- because of things that are
not under our own control, such as decisions made by top
corporate executives, or accidents, or natural disasters,
or just plain bad luck. Oh -- so you own your own home.
That's great, but just how long will you be able to keep it
if you can no longer pay your property taxes?
All of us are vulnerable. That is just a fact of life.
