It would've been more railroad-like if they had numbered a round trip of a vehicle as, #1 SB and #2 NB, and on up. So when #1 changes directions at the south terminus, its number changes to #2. When #3 changes directions, it becomes #4. And so on. Makes sense?
That way, on the schedule all southbounds would be odd-numbered, and all northbounds would be even. I would like that better.
