I am curious where you get information that Permian Basin Railways bought the Sierra Railroad. I checked the Permian Basin web site and no mention of this, though the news on their site is out of date. I also checked the Sierra RR web site and no mention of being taken over by any other railroad. Are you thinking of the Mt. Hood Railroad? That was in the news on TrainOrders last December with information elsewhere. That transaction was completed around April of this year.
