Beaneries near the tracks

The Roseville Deli.

In Roseville, CA, just across the street from the
former SP, now US, Diesel Shop, on the geographic
north side of the tracks.

The walls are covered with small framed color prints
of trains, and there is a large mural of an SP diesel,
in a head-on view.

This was one of my favorite "beaneries" when I used to go
out railfanning in the 80s and 90s. Gets rave reviews on
Yelp.

The Old Spaghetti Factory in Sacramento.
It is in the former Western Pacific depot.

FWIW, Yelp reviews average 3.5 stars. I have not eaten
there in more than 20 years. The "OSF" may have changed
their recipes; I do not know, but I loved the OSF restaurants
back in the day. They did have really good down-home
spaghetti and meatballs, and their house salad dressing
was quite delicious -- back then. And back then the meals
were quite inexpensive. Give them a try, and please let
us know what you think.
