Well, usually the oil pipe was black, dirty and had a catch pipe for drips. SP used the "Rose" style oil column. It was designed by an SP machinist or pipe fitter and used system wide. I think he kept the patent on it. You didn't find an oil column very many places except a round hose area. Most of that bunker "C" had to be heated to get it to flow so that was costly.

The water plug was usually near a tank or actually attached to the tank itself.
