There already was 136 next to what is now CVS at Washington & Lakeville in Petaluma and Herzog(?)just butt-welded the 115 from the new street crossing track right into it. I did not know that was cool since the ties have to accommodate the different rail heights.
When it comes to basic materials why not go first class if you can pull it off? You might appreciate that extra steel down the road. I see SMART telling NWP we're building to and for transit not freight. No love lost there.
