Yeah, that is definitely NOT the #4501. Right information for the 4501, just the wrong locomotive. The one in the pictures is listed on the museum website as having been donated to them from a cement plant, I've taken a few pictures of it in the East Ely shops but none that would lend any clues as to heritage or other identity. I seem to remember it's a "round toit" chore in the shop, and they might have it close to operable.

The #4501, the real one, still wears full Oregon Pacific red and white, but with small SSR lettering. The NNRy mainline is severed by Highway 93 at Currie, when they first delivered it about 2010 it was unloaded from the truck in Currie and run north to Shafter. The #4501 has never gone south of Currie. S&S had a bunch of covered hoppers stored a couple dozen miles south of Shafter around 2011/2012, but they were all gone by around 2012, and nothing has gone south from Shafter since.

I also wonder about the #4303- unless I'm missing something, that one's been gone from the museum for years...
