Hey Poleburner---
Back in 1991, I was on the famous "Bean Steam" trip with SP 2472, from Oakland to Tracy and Return via the Mococo Line. On the return trip, the train stopped for several minutes in the general area you speak of. We all bailed out and set up a "photo line" .
The MILITARY contacted the SP and told them "not to do that anymore" !!!
How 'bout that ???
