Well, I read through them. Interesting to say the least.
First off, I think Progressive Rail would be the one I would vote for. They have their act together and look as if the are going into it with their eyes open. They have been there already, looked things over and look as if they have their act together.
For the others?
"Trail Now" is just too stupid to even recognize. It looks as if the commission already have old Peoples figured out. He wants to tear out all the railroad so it can be rebuilt? Oh, you bet and after he gets the Bike Trail in, I can see it, "Oh we are broke. We can't rebuild the railroad but the money we got for scrap did make a nice bike path. " When will this guy give up. He has to be the dummest guy ever to come down a path. He thinks he has a Silver Tongue but he needs to to see the next guy who is doing his bidding. Yreka Western????
Railmark. I couldn't beleive it. The same guy that stripped the Yreka Western of everything it had. The STB said he could not remove the main line, rail, ties, etc and he did it anyway. That poor old steamer he stripped before the courts made him give it to the real owner. Just his name would be enough to make anybody run the other way.
The Roaring Camp outfit maybe would have been okay but like they said, they are in the passenger business. I would hate for them to take time and money away from their existing business.
Some of these outfits have no idea how to run a railroad. They think they can jump onto an engine and take off. No thought for the actual costs. Equipment, operating, Insurance, signal maintenance, the list goes on.
Just look at Progresive Rail. They touched on just about everything. (One of the others stated they would wait until they got the bid to take a better look.) If they can make it work, great. At least they are going into it with their eyes wide open.
You folks have a tough road ahead. I wish you good luck.

Oh, tell Peoples they are paving a bike path over to the islands. They need him as the front man.
