I recently acquired (although haven't yet listened to) a cassette tape SP sent to its employees containing the song, "The Ballad of Southern Pacific." Words and music were written by Steve Spurgin, copyright 1991 by SP. Actually, I'm not sure where I'll find a player to listen to it with.

Not long before the BNSF merger, Santa Fe sent its employees cassettes of the song "God Bless the Santa Fe," a takeoff of the then-popular song, "God Bless the USA." And of course back in the day, Northern Pacific released "Route of the Great Big Baked Potato." I have a copy of the sheet music.
