There is a distinct Mexican dialect of Spanish, much as there is American English vs. The Queen's English. Mostly different meanings for words and slang terms, and accents as well. I have relatives in Pennsylvania who always pronounce my name "Joige", which is similar to New " Joisey ".
Regarding railroads and their treatment of employees, I've gathered the opinion here on AP that it isn't the pay -- it's the HOURS you have to keep. Having to make yourself available 24 / 7 / 365, outdoors in whatever weather presents itself, long layovers at fleabag motels and bad food, confusing seniority rules that have you being run - around for assignments. HEY WAIT -- I just described the U.S.TRUCKING INDUSTRY as well !!!
