Martin Hanson posted a picture of the uncovered pilot on Trainorders, and it is beautiful woodwork. Wish I had gotten a picture of it naked. But as mentioned above, most of the photogs felt the bright pilot would be a bit too eye catching, so reluctantly it was covered up. I understand for the October photography events the plan is to paint it with easily removable black paint. I normally am a fan of black and dirty steam engines, but I noticed the 2's bright trim and green boiler jacket looked quite nice given the overcast lighting conditions, my pix of the 2 tend to look better than the pix of the more soberly painted 25.
