It’s something like 90% of stolen vehicles are recoverd. But yes, a decent alarm, steering wheel lock etc, will normally make 90% of theives move onto the next vehicle(better your neighbors than yours).
And rarely will a thief put fuel in your car so draw a circle from where it’s stolen with the range, or keep the tank nearly empty.
Sammy, don’t you have battery shut off switches or fuel pump shut off switches on most of your equipment? That will solve most issues if they are concealed in any way. And it hopefully won’t take much training for you & the boys to learn where they are on each piece of equipment.
The goal should be to make things as undesirable first, and frustrating second to a thief at the least inconvenience to the owner. (If the starter turns, but won’t start that’s a bit frustrating!)
Fences, cameras etc. are one time costs vs. GPS trackings monthly fee. Also the crap that’s missing from inside & damage still have to be addressed and replaced/fixed even if it is recovered faster via the GPS.
