Will the Silverton line have to convert to oil burning?

The NdeM narrow gauge used oil as well as the IRCA and I believe Colombia has 3 ft. gauge lines and I assume that would be oil too. The Durango management people might be able to obtain an ng oil burning steam locomotive they could experiment with in the interim. Coal looks to be problematical with more development along the route.

Come to think of it didn't they use an IRCA loco on the rebuilt Georgetown Loop tourist line? And as to getting diesels I should think the Colombians have some around. I dunno about the other hemispheres.
