LA General Shops
The RH was often referred to as "Alhambra Avenue" .
It wasn't part of the shops complex, but the working roundhouse.
Might look at an old map, I think that avenue was originally where the main tracks east [still] are
The shops and the roundhouse replaced [courtesy EHH] the facilities in the River Station area, that became Cornfield, Bullring and I forget the third,
Midway was around the corner toward Dayton, on the original route west,
now the Goldline shop
Mission Coach Yard was part of the LAUPT development
The coach yard that served Central Station, down Alameda, was SE of it.
I can't recall seeing pix of light loco moves on Alameda,
but that was a long way to back an AC off the OWL
