While engaging in a little industrial archaelogy in Potrero Hill a few months ago, I stumbled across a homeless encampment and had the pleasure of speaking with one of the tenants. This individual claimed that it was every American's God-given right to urinate wherever he pleases. Toothless, inebriated, and full of stutter, he offered solutions to the world's problems and also dubbed the world "his urinal." This issue is likely not symptomatic to San Francisco alone. Certainly one can find such enlightened, pontificating citizens on the streets of Salt Lake City, Des Moines, Houston, Birmingham, and Worcester, too!
