I understand the coded track circuits and the capabilities they provide well enough, but where they are in use even with standard coding, are they sometimes not continuous through the rails, switches, and railroad crossings? In order to get cab signals to work, do adjustments have to be made so that the locomotive receiver always has un-interupted code reception, without gaps?
