James,
It is my understanding that the Transit Coalition has this on their agenda and will take a postion shortly (it would appear highly likely that they will support). I don't know if NARP will take a position on a State measure. Sierra Club has taken several votes through their processes to support Propositon 1A, as well.
This is an issue that I know Paul Dyson can bring RailPAC along on, and I hope that it can act as a catalyst, to forge a better relationship. Maybe this will allow both organizations to join forces for a unified consensus voice on these issues. The politics of a few extreme personalities, who have created the factionalism coming from both organizations, has never represented the majority of members, who want to work for good passenger rail systems in California. Your comments regarding TRAC appear to be consistent with my knowledge on those issues.
