Yolo Short Line would go to West Sac with freight behind the 0-6-0 on occasion and that might be
the last "non-special" use of steam for freight, plus that was after the D&S gave up their common carrier status. I'm not sure that CSRM hasn't dropped lumber loads behind steam in recent years
and that might be another instance.
