AMtrak go via Siskiyou???

Would it be realistic to change the Coast Starlight route to go over the Siskiyou's instead via Klamath Falls?

Would teh change free up trackage for freight going that direation and put more revunue into the Siskiyou line? Or is the elevation a problem going through the Siskiyou Pass route?
