No particular grades as I recall and not very far from perusing the map. The #14R does go to Daly City BART but it is a diesel. I would guess Muni management is afraid to do regularly scheduled off-wire trolley buses. Daly City has been hostile to overhead lines in the past. And I guess it goes way back. Charlie Smallwood told me there was a proposal postwar to connect the #40 San Mateo interburban to the M line but Daly City would not allow any new trackage thru their streets and the line was abandoned at the beginning of 1949 along with all the Mission St. streetcar lines.
