Now you've really gone off the deep end. Time for a nice calming draught and a nap.
The story was about Metrolink looking at a LONG-RANGE PLAN for service improvements, including the POSSIBILITY of PARTIAL electrification. The only connection with HSR, and it's tenuous, would be them trying to get the dregs of the "connections" money, and not necessarily for electrification.
