You are missing the the real issue here. The fix is in for the bike lane because it closes out mass transit, which the real Ritchie Riches do not any where close to their digs. Even so-so affluent Menlo Park is @#$%& about Caltrain.

Schadenfreude for those who prefer light rail is that at least with the bike lane the North Bay will not be annexed to the BART Reich in the this century.
