Certainly condolences to both the family and the crew. That said, I was taught as a child not to cross tracks when trains were approaching. At 74, I haven't forgotten. We have an epidemic of careless and stupid behavior around rail ROWs. The problem is NOT the stopping distance of the trains in question; it is the humans failing to act safely.
