Historic Brunswick Hotel on Route 66 right across the road from Kingman AZ depot, front balcony room. Great place to watch the trains go by with a beer after a 'hard' day shooting trains in the Canyon. The only problem is the two road crossings if you do want to sleep at night, the trains blow for both, but the room comes complete with ear plugs!
How about the old crew house at Essex Montana, several rooms overlook the tracks/yard, they are usually the first to book up, however this is a well known railfan hot spot! Harold.
