Good question. Lane Mountain sand in Valley, WA, just south of Chewelah, is the only customer of significance on the line. There have been rumors of BNSF's interest in turning over the rest of the line to the KFR over the years, but nothing has ever come of it. If that should ever come to pass, the interchange would be somewhere north of Spokane in order for the BNSF to keep captive all of the interchange traffic and not let the shortline be able to have access to the Union Pacific.
