Musk's tunnel is big enough for a single Tesla to travel in one direction. It's bored using a machine that was previously used to make sewer and water tunnels. All of Boring's plans involve similar, single-"track" tunnels of the minimum size needed to pass the vehicle or pod. I do kind of wonder if they are even big enough to avoid state health and safety regulations for working in confined spaces.
