The juice connection to all transport is obvious as the OMG Global Warming fad demands a frantic conversion to all-electric. Remember it was the same "class" of elite ruling class experts and pols who ripped out our extensive electric transport system ca. 1946. The urban planners and consultant geniuses - may they rot in hell. In the case of Jerry Browns it was and is the same family. This is the same kind of disruptive, destructive brain-dead conformist fad that killed the electric railways.

You can see how stupid, mendacious, hypocritical are these SPUR crowd "leaders" when you suggest rectifying the errors of 1946 and rebuilding electric transit. They have a hissy fit over the wires and/or the tracks. These are the same ilk of cretins who gave us Bechtel gauge. It is a miracle they got the F line tracks rebuilt - remember no streetcars in Manhattan.

The transport to electricity generation connection is in your face. They are demanding all-electric tomorrow. And in France it got them the Gilets Jaunes insurrection. Now it appears that the closing of nuclear generating stations may be put off and, catch this, they want to keep coal burning stations by mixing the coal with wood fuels. Dunno if I really understand the science behind this but the point is they are clearly worried about having enough juice to make a wholesale conversion.

In the case of the PG&E exec it would appear a force-out. In a related note it looks like Carlos Ghosn gonna do some real hard time in a Japanese prison - I'd love to see some corrupted and prostituted pols and engineering consultants join him in the hole.
