What great pictures. It recalls many visits to the Airline as a teenager. At Culver Junction- where the Airline crossed the Vence Line and the Redondo Beach/Playa Del Ray line separated - had 2 electric locomotices stationed there for the last years until the SW -1 switcher locomotives took over.

The website referred to, with all the pictures, gave the impression that the line was eleminated in 1953 ro 1954. According to Donald Duke's book "Pacific Electric Railway", service was terminated April 9, 1960. It was the passender service that was eleminated October 30, 1953.
