After sifting through all the Mister Ed gripes on here I've come to the conclusion Hot Water really seems to be boiling over, hissing and spitting everywhere like a pot on a hot stove. I wonder just what did you actually do to get so anti.?
in reality to your answer to Sensible...
1) Tenders got swapped out all the time, nothing new there especially if you've got a deadline to make.
2) Superheaters are just Tubes and Elbows, they do wear out after time needing replacement so make new one and get over it.
3) Others have mentioned that the Burner is new old stock, should I believe your version?
4) Here the Comms tech used to flog Radios out of deadline locos if there were units needing such for service right away, what's wrong with swapping out the Cabsignal equipment like that?
