Before I go any further I want all of you to know that the engines will have lights on. That being said, Woodside has a rather
impressive set of credentialed individuals, I consult for the UP with a lot less than that! Since I'm saddled with a more down
to earth approach aka "what you see is what you get" I'm wondering how what I see (the NWP) will merit a large "what you
get". Business plans aside, the reality is that short hauls of rock and garbage don't provide enough revenue stream to
expand service and cover long term maintenance costs. The stuff is heavy and fairly rough on track and unless you're the
quarry operator (or the reclaim operator) running the railroad doesn't make huge sense. I guess in short I'm saying that I
don't see the kind of return that would merit that level of involvement, shows me the tonnage!!
