As others have pointed out Dems are just as corrupt--I have lived for a time in both NYC and Chicago! Just so you get it, I have not voted dem for pres in a long time (Clinton first time around 'cause I was tired of the Reagan-Bush illegalities--Iran Contra and others)
Unlike some on this board, I am old enough to remember seeing Ike's "military industrial complex" speech on TV as a high schooler. I also am old enough to remember when some decent humans were Republicans (Lindsay, Weicker, Rockefeller for example) Heck it was Earl Warren who spearheaded Brown v. Board as opposed to the neo-Confederate scum that dominate that party today.

I will say, I am jazzed that a couple AEM7s are out here; they were awesome as real replacements for the GG1s which, even though I disliked PRR on many levels, were proably the most beautiful locomotives ever built in the US.
