Be patient, wait and see. They have not even announced the routing yet so you are jumping the gun on saying they are skipping over the western end of the rail route this year. If you notice.. their midwest tour goes in a loop. They very well could loop down through southern California and then head north and back through northern California over Donner Pass eastbound to head back for home as their grand finally for the year.
