Amazing how much "old school" knowledge has been lost from today's railroad mechanical departments. Apparently none of the latest, "college degreed" folks are aware that EVERY single DC traction motor powered EMD and GE diesel unit within their fleets, have plain bearings in the traction motor support bearing areas.
