Will SMART Shut Down NWP ?

I think everyone on this forum knows the last thing Farhad
Mansourian (SMART GM) wants is freight rail operating in the same corridor
as SMART.

However, this hasn't received much publicity and given the multiple
lies the GM makes in public many on this forum many be unaware that
this is, in fact, the plan. It is also supported by Sen McGuire.
Negotiations are currently underway to determine how much the
state must pay NWP Co to give up its operating rights.

But what about the businesses currently using NWP freight train provided
shipping services?

Do they know? Do they care?
