Jack S, if you're who I think you are, did you ever get a chance to run them, or know anyone who did?

They were already mostly out of service by the time I hired out. Only the 9010 was around, doing more filming for the "stimulator" on Beaumont. So I was wondering how they pulled? I've heard that they didn't have the tractive effort to start the kind of heavy trains we run in the US, and especially the kind we ran on the SP.

I also heard the story of how the "Katzenjammer kids" that came over to train the SP folks to maintain them, ran screaming in abject terror from the building when they saw some of the SP's maintenance practices...?
