Why not have human ticket agents? Have two or three per rush hour and one off-peak. Everything will be Clipper within the next couple of years anyway. People walk up, Clipper in hand ready to scan. No valid clipper, no entry. Pushing past an agent would be assault. The amount of money they'll lose in the first lawsuit after someone's kid or a disabled person gets sliced by those blades will pay for ticket agents for the first couple of years.
